Diabetic Diet – 5 Ways To Lower Your Blood Sugar Level

A diabetic diet can help stabilize your blood sugar level in your body and if a diabetic does not keep their blood sugar in check, it can result in a lot of medical problems. When a person eats food that contains sugar and carbohydrates, their pancreas starts producing insulin which will carry the sugar into their cells for energy. Without this insulin, the sugar builds up in our system and can cause many unwanted health problems.

Once the sugar is built up in your system for a long period of time, health problems can arise. The sugar will start by destroying your blood vessels. It will soon move on to much bigger organs and can cause you to develop heart disease, kidney disease, nerve damage and vision problems. So in order to prevent this from happening and to help keep your body healthy, you need to find out how to effectively lower your blood sugar level.

    I love popcorn …
I love popcorn toooo…but the same thing happens! Popcorn is a carb. Make a smaller amount when you get that craving. It’s SO hard! I don’t use microwave popcorn. I do it the “old fashioned” way on the stove top with “good for the heart” oil. Just salt, no butter/margarine. But I could chomp a lot. I am not even obese and I have diabetes. Just bad genes. : ( I want to strangle the un-diabetics who say “Just nibble on carrot sticks in front of the t.v!” ARGHHH LOL

    Glycemic Index is …
Glycemic Index is based on faulty science. The basic chemistry they used in determining GI is not correct. Please see-
GLYCEMIC INDEX- why it does not worK ?

Just copy and paste into SEARCH box.

Glycemic Load is based on DIRECT measurement of the glycemic response to a known weight of test food. No calculation or estimation of GI from apparent weight of contained CARBOHYDRATE is needed. Although the GI Researchers can’t or don’t want to understand this, it is a fact
