diabetic meal planning?

my daughter is 17yrs. old and has type 1 diabetes. She’s having some difficulties right now with it’s management because of what she eats. I need help with meals planning for the whole week for her. Where can I find a good website that gives ideas of menus?

There are an incredible number of resources out there for diabetics of all ages and types. Just type "Diabetic Meal Plan" in google and see the millions of hits you get. Here’s but one:

Or, you can do as I did and get this book:

Not a website, but one of the best things I have found is a book called "Sugar Busters", It explains how your body works in processing food and what to eat and when. It also has a 14 day meal planner (not really what I usually eat, but it gives a good structure). It also explains what foods to stay away from (and there aren’t really all that many) and what foods to change (not eliminate), which is great for a teenager. When I started following this I quit having problems with feeling bad after eating a lot of foods and also lost the extra weight I needed to loose (it helps you find your natural body weight). Overall it’s just making simple changes and makes being diabetic a lot easier.
