		<description>What you really need to watch out for is carbohydrates. It is the carbs that turn to sugar in your blood. Obviously suger turns to sugar in your blood, but as your doctor mentioned many other things do also. Potatoes, breads, noodles, chips, crackers, fruits, and various others are all going to become sugar in your bloodstream as they break down.

Your best bet is to read up and understand diabetes before you worry about recipes. You need an understanding of the glycemic index for sure and the other factors that can help to prevent you from developing diabetes (like exercise, stress reduction, small portion sizes).

I&#039;ve been diabetic for 10 years now and taking shots for it for 6 of the years. If I were you I&#039;d try to avoid it with all of my power!
