The oral glucose tolerance test is performed after eight hours fast and two hours after drinking of a glucose rich beverage. If the blood glucose level is in between 140 and 199 mg/dl the person is diagnosed pre-diabetes and if it is above 200 mg/dl physician puts the diagnosis of diabetes.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 a little over a year ago and it was over 600. My daughter's was 1458, the highest I have heard of and still conscious! She was diagnosed 12 years ago.

i was 7 and mine was 525 but my dad is a diabetic so my parents noticed changes in me. when went to the doctor we already knew i has it.
