		<description>No they don&#039;t check toddler&#039;s blood sugar on a regular basis.  This is too much information for me to address all of it, so I&#039;m going to just give you the basics.  At that age it&#039;s most likely type 1 ... but with numbers that low you very likely have just caught it at the beginning.  Take her to the doctor soon, it can get dangerous quickly.

Type 1 diabetes does not have to do with weight or diet, and it is not your fault if your daughter has it.  Type 1 is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the cells that produce insulin until they don&#039;t work anymore.  It&#039;s the same type of thing as an allergy, which is when the immune system attacks things that are harmless.  Except this is much more serious, of course.

And it has nothing to do with your gestational diabetes, or your grandpa&#039;s type 2.  They are different diseases with different causes.  The treatment is different too.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
