Very Strict Diet Plan–Need Some Diverse Recipes?
I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic, and diabetes runs in my family. In conjunction with a new exercise routine, I’ve started a pretty strict diet plan with a nutritionist which cuts out most carbs and lowers my fat intake. I’m looking for recipes with low carbs and fat to spruce up my diet plan. I realize that if I can’t enjoy it, I won’t stick with it. Thanks!

What food contitutes a Diabetes diet?
As a 47 man who lives alone my doctor just advised me to take up a diet to prevent diabetes, he said my glucose level was 6.9 & I should cut sweet things out, along with pasta, potatoes, bread, eat more vegies than fruit, but as a basic Australian diet I dont eat any take away foods at all, I cook everything. I use healthy olive & canola oils for cooking what else can I do, is thier a web site that I could find diabetic friendly recipe’s? I tried google but that was as much help as hip pockets on a G’string! (a thong in USA) thanks for all the help.

Can you help me find websites with recipes that are safe for diabetics?
My mom is having a hard time keeping her sugar in check, she is watching her diet, but don’t eat enough, in fear of her sugar going to high. Even though she isn’t eating alot, the doctor still had to raise her meds. Any websites about diet, exercise, and recipes would help alot. I have only found one site that had a few recipes that she enjoys. I am at nerves end here, and really need help.
Here are a few sites that I have found for you. How sweet of you to take an interest in helping your mother deal with her diabetes. You don’t say if you live at home, but if you do, you could encourage her by cooking some for her and eating the same things that she eats.

Diabetic Recipes and Food Products?
My grandmother is 81 and recently found to have high blood sugar and blood pressure. So the doctor has asked her to cut a lot of fat out of her diet where possible and not eat much/any sugar. So with that said, I have a couple questions to ask:
1. Are there any candies she can make or buy that are exceptional and will appeal to a sweet tooth?
2. Anyone have any yummy recipes that would be good for someone with high blood pressure and high blood sugar levels?
She loves to eat . . but she is finding it difficult to cope having to suddenly change the way she has been eating all her life. I’m going out and buying a recipe book for her tonight and I also would like to send her some candy in the care package.
Thanks in Advance =)
